As we near the end of this school year, I express my deep gratitude to everyone for the opportunity to work with all of you. We look forward to our final weeks together as we prepare for the end of the year activities. Our teachers have been busy planning excellent educational field trips and culminating activities that will provide our students an exciting end to their school year!

La Moille Community Unit School District #303 is giving notice of the
destruction of temporary student records obtained from 2012-2016. If
you would like these records, please contact La Moille High School
@815-638-2144. They will be destroyed on April 20, 2023.
As the La Moille C.U.S.D. 303 Interim Superintendent, I continue to enjoy our students as they participate in a variety of activities that are offered in our fine school district. From the exciting basketball games, engaging Ag activities, and amazing art projects to the interactive classroom lessons, our La Moille Schools offer our students an outstanding educational experience.
Another incredible accomplishment was recently announced! Katie Shevokas, our school counselor, and a team of talented professionals from Arukah Institute devoted countless hours to write a school mental health grant to help students receive much needed social-emotional help. With over 500 applications nationwide, our La Moille Schools and Arukah were successful in receiving this 6.8 million dollar grant! There are seven participating districts in this grant, and hundreds of students throughout the Starved Rock Region will receive social-emotional services through this federal grant. In La Moille, we are proud to be leading these efforts and are thrilled to collaborate with our area school districts.
Our interview team has been busy interviewing candidates for our next La Moille C.U.S.D. 303 Superintendent of Schools. We have enjoyed some amazing interviews, and we look forward to naming a new superintendent during our February 16th Board Meeting. As the interim superintendent, I have been honored to serve our excellent school system, and it is exciting for our interview
team to choose their next school district leader!
We will also interview candidates for our district bookkeeper/district secretary. Mrs. Klein will be retiring at the end of this school year, and she will be missed tremendously. Interested candidates should have financial experience and should send a letter of interest to the district office to 801 S. Main Street, La Moille, IL 61330.
Sincerely,
Jay K. McCracken, Superintendent

As we approach the holidays, we wish you a wonderful time with family and friends. We hope for excellent health and safe travels as you gather with your loved ones.
May each of us take the time to relax and reflect upon the many blessings we have in our lives. As superintendent of our La Moille Schools, I am very grateful to serve another year in this supportive, caring community. Let us keep those who are less fortunate in our thoughts and prayers during this holiday season.
As we enjoy this holiday break, we plan to come back renewed in our commitment to the students and families of our fine school district. We look forward to the 2023 New Year, and our excellent staff will be ready to work as a team to help our kids achieve their very best!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of you!
